Overview
Emmée Parizot, born near Paris in 1958, began painting at an early age, certainly influenced by her father, an amateur painter. She was quickly seduced by the third dimension of sculpture. The feel of the material, clay or wax, allows her to express herself fully through her art.
Through the strength and timelessness of bronze, her material of choice, Emmée Parizot draws us into her abundant universe, where love, femininity, the couple, spirituality and life in general are abundantly represented in all their complexity. Her work as a sculptor has evolved towards a symbolic approach based on a personal interpretation of Scripture and mythology. For the past five years, she has been developing a range of bronze furniture in which she brings together neoclassicism and modernity in a free, playful form. She has also sculpted a collection of jewelry in bronze, silver or gold.
Emmée Parizot won the bronze medal at the Salon des Artistes Français in 2007. She has also won numerous awards, including five first prizes for sculpture at French and international shows: Dijon in 2016, Saint-Vaast la Hougue in 2014, Lyon in 2006, AEA Belgium in 2005, Dijon in 2004. She participated in FIAC in Paris in 2010 and exhibited at the PAD in London and Monaco in 2019. Emmée has permanent exhibitions in four galleries across Paris.
