Full of lighthearted joy, Joy de Rohan Chabot truly lives up to her name—she who, for sixty years, has drawn her inspiration from nature. A natural choice for someone who grew up in the countryside. After a Parisian social life, where she was a leading figure in the 1970s and 80s alongside her husband Jean de Rohan Chabot, she has returned to the tranquility of a rural existence in Auvergne, at their Château de Jozerand.
There, the Arts Décoratifs graduate tirelessly observes the changing seasons, the trees, the flowers, and the animals... From this fascination with the living world, she has imagined—with a renewed sense of enchantment—painted screens and flower-shaped chairs, explored many mediums including glass, metal, and bronze, painted dozens of tableware sets for Dior Maison (a collaboration that continues to this day).
