April 2026 Global Interiors issue of Wallpaper* Cover Feature

April 1, 2026

The April 2026 cover, featuring our tour of an art and design collector’s residence in Las Vegas. Seen here are Three Figures by Robert Motherwell, a cast bronze chair by Andrea Salvetti for Dilmos, and a 19th-century Sultanabad rug.

Welcome to our annual gathering of the globe’s most galvanising design projects. It’s a journey of creative exploration that’s perfectly captured in our cover story – a spectacular Las Vegas home that’s a masterclass in melding mediums, eras and themes, a polyglot approach reflected in the rest of the issue.

We’ve noted that the legacy of modernism, and its later evolution, brutalism, remains as strong as ever, so we’ve chosen to explore how 20th-century properties, such as Casa Arosio on Italy’s Ligurian coast and the futuristic Pyramid House in Milton Keynes, are being reimagined for the 21st century.

      Andrea Salvetti

Andrea Salvetti was born on 17 August 1967 in the province of Lucca, where he lived and worked in the countryside near the Apuan Alps. He worked on his many projects in his studio, using many different materials and technologies with a strong focus on metals. The studio’s activity involves various themes, moving in a very broad interdisciplinary space between sculpture, design, architecture and performance: the resulting works often struggle to refer to and free themselves from just one of these sectors, tending instead to unite horizontally. In recent years there have been many self-produced projects in collaboration with art and design galleries in Italy and abroad. He participated in the 48th Art Biennale in Venice, exhibited at the Triennale in Milan, Focke Museum in Bremen and some of his works are present in international exhibitions and fairs such as Design Miami/Basel, Moscow Design Week, PAD Paris-London, Arte Fiera, Art Dubai, Swab Barcelona. Some of his works are featured in the catalogues of prestigious auction houses such as Sotheby’s, Pierre Bergé, Phillips de Pury, Artcurial. He also collaborated with Philippe Starck on many projects. During these years of incessant production, his creations exhibited in Italy and abroad have been published in catalogues and magazines from all sectors. Andrea Salvetti was a sculptor, designer and creator of works that play between art and craftsmanship, aesthetics and functionality and that have always celebrated the earth and nature. He was an artist who loved to make “his hands think” and found himself celebrating the earth in one way or another. Earth, from which to flourish, under which to always rest, on which to build palaces, but also earth understood as a space for living or an incubator where we have our roots, cultures and ideas, where we decide to build a place we can call home.
