February 11, 2025
In this seventh episode of Designers in Dialogue, we proudly present the portrait of Frédéric and Hervé, the two talented designers behind RoWin’atelier. Driven by a cross-disciplinary vision of space, RoWin’atelier explores materials, light, and the intimate relationship between objects and their environment. The CONQ sofa, our latest collaboration, perfectly embodies the excellence of craftsmanship and the pursuit of discreet luxury, where every detail tells a story.

      RoWin'Atelier

RoWin'atelier was founded in 2011 by architects Frédéric Rochette and Hervé Winkler, emerging from a cross-disciplinary approach that merges architecture, design, and art craftsmanship. Their journey has been  driven by a deep exploration of space in all its dimensions, where the scale of architecture is just as important as that of furniture. For them, attention to detail and impeccable execution are essential, in line with a strong interest for how objects blend into their environment. Every piece is designed as a true architectural element.

Time plays a central role in their work, inseparable from the pursuit of beauty, precision, and fine craftsmanship. It is within this careful, measured approach that true luxury resides: in the excellence of the gesture, the accuracy of proportions, and the depth of materials. Based in Paris, RoWin’Atelier is a transdisciplinary firm mainly focused on architecture, interior design, furniture design and art direction. Their creative process emphasizes drawing and writing, and asserts artisanal technique, research, innovation and imagination.

Frédéric Rochette received an architecture degree from the Ecole Nationale d’Architecture Paris Val de Seine, and Hervé Winkler attended the École Nationale supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles where he received a dual degree in both architecture and interior design.
