Artist Hubert Le Gall is exhibiting about thirty unreleased creations at Villa Kérylos, an ode to ancient Greece, located in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. He revives mythology through sculptures and contemporary furniture.
The first shock? Stepping through the doors of Villa Kérylos is like taking a leap into the past. A true ode to Greek civilization, perched on the rocky point of the Baie des Fourmis in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, between Nice and Monaco, it has all the attributes of an authentic ancient home. The second surprise? The pieces by Hubert Le Gall, around thirty in total—mostly unreleased—placed throughout the rooms, seem as if they have always belonged there. “It was essential to blend into the decor so as not to disappoint those who come primarily to visit Kérylos,” the artist humbly explains.
