Oskar Zieta is an interdisciplinary artist and architect whose works draw not only inspiration, but also materials from the metal industry. His research and innovative use of steel sheets was patented as FiDU technology, the technique used to create his now famous Plopp stool. In his care, steel is transformed into a light and flexible material, producing objects that add a work a dash of advanced technology into any living space. His studio, Zieta Prozessdesign, is based in his native Poland and also in Switzerland. His products are permanently exhibited, among others, in Centre Pompidou in Paris, Pinakothek der Moderne München, Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich and Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe.
